Bob Law, CEO of Langdowns DFK, is stepping down from his position after 39 years at the firm, on January 31st 2016. Our International Director, Neil Raynsford, will take over the role of CEO, leading Langdowns DFK into the future, at a very exciting time in our history. Neil has been with the practice for 20 years and is excited by the opportunities ahead for our expanding business. Bob will continue on at the firm until his retirement on the 30th April.
During his time at the firm, Bob has overseen Langdowns DFK go from strength to strength, managing multiple mergers and acquisitions, as well as our expansion from a single small office in Andover, to multiple offices across Hampshire. Amongst the biggest changes Bob has seen during his time with Langdowns DFK is the rapid increase of clients with interests both locally and internationally. In response to this, Langdowns joined DFK International, the international association of independent accountants and tax advisers.
DFK has become an important part of Langdowns and its ability to service our clients both on a local and international level. It is for this reason that we are such an active member of the association, and Bob was appointed Chairman of DFK UK and Ireland last year to reflect this.
Our future CEO Neil Raynsford, said “All the partners and staff, as well as the firm’s clients are thankful to Bob for his leadership over the last 26 years. He has seen the firm prosper throughout a period of huge changes in business regulation and technology. Our aim will be to continue Bob’s good work to see the firm and its clients prosper in the coming years.”
Commenting on stepping down, outgoing CEO Bob said, “Langdowns DFK has been an important part of my life for the last 39 years since moving to Hampshire in 1977. Langdowns; my partners, the staff team and our clients have been like a second family and I wish them all the very best for a successful future. It is now time for me to step back and spend more time with my “first” family and pursuing my interests including travel, golf and skiing. I will also continue with my part time non-executive appointments…The future of Langdowns DFK is in good hands; the partners and staff are a great team and are ready to continue the challenge of helping our clients prosper”.
Whilst retiring from his day-to-day involvement in Langdowns DFK at the end of April, we are pleased to say that Bob will be acting as a Non-Executive director of the firm, and will continue to represent Langdowns within DFK.
